Who We Are

Maryanne Lechleiter

As Principal of Urban Life Media, Maryanne has over 15 years experience in sales, marketing and business development. Most of those years were spent locally and she has developed many ong-term relationships with business owners in the Fraser Valley.

Her connections to these great boutiques and services led to the creation of Stimuli Magazine almost 3 years ago. Most online media is focused in a downtown core but Maryanne felt strongly that our Fraser Valley business base offers just as many fantastic products and great shopping experiences as the downtown stores, so she set out to close the gap in the local online magazine market.

In her down time, Maryanne loves spending time on the lake, is always planning her next trip to anywhere with palm trees and definitely considers shopping a sport.

Tanya Colledge

After hearing the editor of Vancouver Fashion Magazine speak to her class of Fashion Business and Creative Arts students at John Casablancas Institute, Tanya Colledge knew she wanted to combine her passion for fashion with her love of the written word. Pursuing this interest, she attended the Print Futures Professional Writing Program at Douglas College in New Westminster, deepening infatuation with crafting prose and inspiring people through the power of words.

She has been active reporter for Douglas College's student newspaper, The Other Press, and has been published in The Globe and Mail, on The Vancouver Board of Trade's website, and in their publications, Sounding Board and Young Leader.

Tanya's strong passion for social media has also propelled her to develop strategies for small local businesses, teaching them how to best make use of this growing trend in business. She currently resides in Victoria, B.C., pursuing her degree in Professional Communications at Royal Roads University.

Paris Smith

Paris is the owner of Olive Image Consulting. She works one-on-one with women to help them re-focus their existing wardrobe as well as styling them with the current trends while expressing their personality. Having worked in the high-end fashion industry as a buyer for over 20 years, Paris attended runway shows and visited the designers houses including Prada, Fendi, Celine and Dolce & Gabbana in Paris, Milan and New York.

Paris loves to work with women who are looking for style guidance and insists that she was born with shopping bags filled with shoes in her hands!

Michele Bromley

Michele Bromley is an at-home stylista. Once stuck in the yoga wear rut, she loathes our West Coast acceptance of it as every day wear. With a goal to look and feel amazing every day, she has determined never to settle for mediocre. Her experience as a professional stylist with companies like Banana Republic, she knows that with a great basic wardrobe and a bit of effort, magic can happen. She wants that magic for you too.

Michele lives in South Surrey with her four crazy gorgeous kids and her amazing husband who fails to convince her that she doesn’t need another handbag. A newbie blogger, you can check her out at stilistaathome.blogspot.com

Linda Horn

Linda Horn is sweet on baking. She grew up cooking and baking at her mother's side. Today, she lives, works and plays in Langley, BC with her husband Robin and two Bernese Mountain Dogs. When she's not making desserts for her family and friends, she's the art director for a publishing company. You can find more of her recipes and photography on her blog, Let Them Eat Cake!

Kristine Carrick

Kristine is a self-proclaimed news hound, shoe and handbag junkie, lover of wine and could spend hours in a stationery store. She resides in Langley with her black lab, Deacon.

Christina Kristensen

Christina is currently a member of the team at HouseWarmings, a beautiful upscale store in South Surrey specializing in furniture, home decor and gift items. From an early age she has had a passion for art, design and decorating. She took the Fine Arts program first at Kwantlen College before making the switch to academics and transferring to UBC. Her work experience has been in retail sales and merchandising in both fashion and now home décor but she has always had a love for writing. Born and raised in the Lower Mainland, Christina now happily resides in South Surrey with her husband and two teenagers. You can probably find her snooping around in the shops around town or outside walking with her beloved dogs.

Andrea Ferguson

Andrea Ferguson is the owner of Life Designs Coaching & Consulting through which she offers group fitness and nutrition education classes. Andrea is a Nutritionist with her BSc in Dietetics and an expertise in Children's Nutrition, a certified Fitness Leader with a Pre and Postnatal Fitness Specialty, a Health Coach and a Mom of two young children.
