Christmas is one of our favourite times of the year. While we love having our home decorated for the holidays, sometimes it can feel a little too commercial with all the plastic, made-in-China ornaments. Wouldn't it be nice to bring back some of those old-time traditions of homemade decorations?
Janis Gurney, the gifted creator of Junk Style and author of a fantastic blog called Rust & Ruffles, has once again taken something old and turned it into something new and beautiful with her Christmas Wreaths. By using the pages from old music books, novels and even french dictionaries, rolling them up and dipping the edges in silver sparkles, she has created one of the most original wreaths we've ever seen. It gives us a feeling of nostalgia for eras gone by. Eras that only our grandparents remember and we imagine.
Janis's Christmas Wreaths come in three different sizes starting at $30 and are available at The Passionate Home in Langley.
