Here at Stimuli Magazine, we usually bring our fun shopping finds to you each weekday. Today we thought we'd share something a little different. Don't worry it's still great, it's still local and it takes place at a spa, but it doesn't go home with you in a shopping bag.
Partnering with Spa Utopia, Life Designs Coaching and Consulting has created a series of classes taught by certified nutritionists that offer real, approachable ways to eat right, for life. We know that the New Year's Resolutions to eat better and get more exercise are great goals, but sometimes it is putting things into practice that becomes the hurdle.
The available programs include Eat Right For Life, which teaches the key ingredients to healthy eating, identifying the foods that are good for you and provides easy meal planning secrets. We love that none of it includes DIETING, because after all, we love to eat. Andrea and her team have also created a program, Eat Right, From the Start, for parents to work through what to feed their 1 to 5 year olds; and new for 2011, how to Eat Right to Grow Right for 5 to 12 year olds.
"Andrea's class was ideal for any who wants a practical, down to earth approach to maintaining motivation on a day to day basis." Lora
The workshops are offered in three parts and are taking place at the Spa Utopia locations in Langley, North Vancouver and at the PanPacific, downtown Vancouver location.
Our Life Through Kristine's Eyes columnist, Kristine Carrick is testing the waters and announced earlier this week that she will be writing about the good, bad and ugly parts of staying on the eat well, be active journey. She will be taking part in the upcoming Eat Right For Life series.
One lucky Stimuli reader will win a FREE class of her choice in the Eat Right For Life series at the Spa Utopia location in Langley. For a chance to win, simply post your comments on this editorial. Winner will be announced on Wednesday, February 2, 2011.

My toddler grandson is the toughest little guy to get to eat anything that is good for him….this would be an awesome learning experience to make daycare feeding a more pleasant and nutritious time.

I’ve tried diets and they only seem to last so long and then it’s back to the old habits. I would love some solutions that make eating right easy to integrate into my everyday life and to stay motivated to keep it up!

I am so excited about these nutrition classes! I believe they can benefit anyone. I have tried to change my lifestyle to healthy balanced meals and sometimes just run out of ideas or get bored of the same old stuff. I have a 16month old son and wish to teach him to have a healthy relationship with food, and make sure that I am feeding him the right amounts loaded with the nutrients his body requires. I can’t wait to learn some up-to-date nutrition tips and bring my passion back to food.

This is a great idea. Eating is easy, but nutrition can be complicated. I would definitely like to check this out.

The “Eat Right to Grow Right” class sounds really interesting. I will happily try anything that potentially gets the family eating more than tacos, spaghetti and baked chicken in a never ending cycle…
