What straight-haired girl, at some point in her life, hasn't dreamed about having big, bouncy, wavy curls that make heads turn? Whether your after the spiral curls a la Taylor Swift or the big wavy tresses of Jennifer Lopez, a well-coiffed look is only as good as the tools you use to achieve it with.
We may not have celebrity hair stylists on speed dial but we do have the KQC Swirl Professional Curling Iron. The KQC is different than other irons because conventional irons typically clip onto hair at the bottom of the strands, the KQC Swirl starts at the top of the hair and swirls down the barrel to the tip of the strands.
The thumb piece swirls (rotates) to run through the hair and the built-in, automatic hair release means that the hair slides off the barrel easily giving you a perfect curl.
It's hard to imagine how it works so take a look at the videos on the KQC website.
The KQC Swirl is available at professional salons including Rocco Hair Design in Willowbrook Mall in Langley and Salon Blue on Fraser Hwy in Surrey. It retails for $149.99.
We have a KQC Swirl to give away to one lucky Stimuli reader. To enter, post a comment on this editorial. Winner will be announced on Monday, April 11, 2011.

This sounds like just what I need. I get frustrated as I usually get my hair tangled up in a normal curling iron, I would actually use this one.

I have always found curling my hair very difficult! Maybe better quality tools will help out!

Your timing on this article could not have been more impeccable… as I’m currently looking for a good curling iron. I have very fine hair and find the curls from a regular curling iron just doesn’t hold long. This KQC Swirl looks great! Thanks Stimuli!

My hair is straight as a pin and I have a lot of it! I always dream of beautiful curls but never seem to get them to look quite right. I would love win this curling iron as I’ve tried many that have not worked for me.

I’ve been growing my hair out for my wedding, and I’m getting kind of bored with it - so I think this would be a nice alternative to flat-ironing my hair every day. Time for a change!

I would love to see if it would work on my straight hair. I use to have spiral perms back in my teens, it seem to be the only way to get my hair to hold a curl. I would love to try this out.

We always want what we don’t have, and I am one that had curly hair when I was younger and wanted straight hair. Now I have straight hair and I want it curly. My hairdresser has one and it works great!

My mix of clumsiness and trying out my new clampless curling iron has left me with a burn on my neck and singed finger tips. The “Swirl” looks like a much safer and easier appliance!
