Here at Stimuli Magazine, we usually bring our fun shopping finds to you each weekday. Today we thought we'd share something a little different. Don't worry it's still great, it's still local and it takes place at a spa, but it doesn't go home with you in a shopping bag.
Partnering with Spa Utopia, Life Designs Coaching and Consulting has created a series of classes taught by certified nutritionists that offer real, approachable ways to eat right, for life. We know that the New Year's Resolutions to eat better and get more exercise are great goals, but sometimes it is putting things into practice that becomes the hurdle.
The available programs include Eat Right For Life, which teaches the key ingredients to healthy eating, identifying the foods that are good for you and provides easy meal planning secrets. We love that none of it includes DIETING, because after all, we love to eat. Andrea and her team have also created a program, Eat Right, From the Start, for parents to work through what to feed their 1 to 5 year olds; and new for 2011, how to Eat Right to Grow Right for 5 to 12 year olds.
"Andrea's class was ideal for any who wants a practical, down to earth approach to maintaining motivation on a day to day basis." Lora
The workshops are offered in three parts and are taking place at the Spa Utopia locations in Langley, North Vancouver and at the PanPacific, downtown Vancouver location.
Our Life Through Kristine's Eyes columnist, Kristine Carrick is testing the waters and announced earlier this week that she will be writing about the good, bad and ugly parts of staying on the eat well, be active journey. She will be taking part in the upcoming Eat Right For Life series.
One lucky Stimuli reader will win a FREE class of her choice in the Eat Right For Life series at the Spa Utopia location in Langley. For a chance to win, simply post your comments on this editorial. Winner will be announced on Wednesday, February 2, 2011.

We all know that the secret to a trimmer, firmer body is no secret at all. It's regular exercise and a healthy diet. However, sometimes our busy schedules don't allow for as much exercise as we want or need to achieve results, so we often rely on shapewear to do the job for us.
New to the marketplace is Shapercise; a body shaper that gives you a smooth look under your clothing and also provides muscle toning as you wear them. Created by Dr. Denise Perron, Shapericse has seamless resistance bands that are Powered By ShaToBu™and built into the underwear to increase your caloric burn and tone your muscles.
Our trial run proved that we like Shapercise. It feels very much like wearing control top pantyhose but you can feel the difference with the panels. Nothing major, but you can tell something's going on. We like the wider waistband and the leg bands don't bulge or work their way up your leg. You can use Shapercise in place of your regular underwear as it is made of moisture-wicking, breathable fabric with a COOLMAX® cotton gusset.
Shapercise has just come on the market and is available exclusively at London Drugs locations. The high waist style is $34.99 and the regular waist is $29.99.
Here at Stimuli we drink copious amounts of tea and coffee. Sometimes it's just because we enjoy the taste and other times it really is what keeps us going! The problem is…coffee/tea breath! Typically we rely on gum for a quick breath freshener, but often it's just not appropriate to be chomping away like a cow. So, we figured it's time to try some mints.
Green Tea has many health benefits, but until recently, we didn't know that freshening breath was one of them. Green Tea Mints by Sencha naturally inhibit the root causes of bad breath. The mints are available in several flavours including Delicate Pear™ and Lively Lemongrass™. We love that each mint is shaped like a little leaf and the container is great. We think you could reuse it to store your small earrings and rings when travelling.
We found the Green Tea Mints at Angelic Teapot on Marine Drive in White Rock.

Here at Stimuli we do talk a lot about makeup. What works best, what our favourites are as well as application techniques. However, we have never considered that a makeup product could literally transform a person's life. No, we aren't being overly dramatic. Sweet Leilani has changed the lives of many. Here's why.
Cosmedic Corner owner and Sweet Leilani creator, Leilani, began her career as a Cosmetic Designer for film & TV. Certified as a Paramedical Makeup and Tattoo Specialist, Leilani was not able to find the products she needed to help the burn, trauma and cancer patients she was working with. After an extensive search she realized that she would have to create it herself and in 1990 the first Skin Care Cover Foundation was born. Not only do they disguise a disfigurement, the products contain anti-inflammatory and healing properties that aid in the healing process.
As she was speaking with Leilani, our Publisher, Maryanne admits she actually had goosebumps. "Leilani's work is incredible. I am amazed at how a little training and some makeup can totally transform a life. These woman no longer feel like they need to hide. They can go out into the world confidently and that is priceless."
Not only does Sweet Leilani Cosmetics cover scars and tattoos, it also works wonderfully for those of us fortunate enough to not have a disfigurement to live with. The Camouflage Stick and Mineral Bronzer will give you a flawless complexion.
Sweet Leilani products are waterproof and completely natural. The long list of what they don't have includes Paraben free, petroleum free, gluten free, fragrance free and the list goes on. Sweet Leilani products are recognized by the World and Canadian Burn Congress and the Burn and Cancer Units.
Sweet Leilani products are all priced at the $20 mark and are available at Pharmasave, Save On Foods as well as select People's and Shopper's Drug Mart stores. If you would like a lesson with Leilani you can contact her at the Cosmedic Corner.

We all know the importance of exercising our body to keep it in top shape, but what about exercising your brain? As we age, our brains get "lazier" and they need to be worked out as well.
Founded in 1993, b.dazzle is the manufacturer of the award winning Scramble Squares. The object of these puzzles is to arrange the nine colourfully illustrated squares so that the very realistic graphics on the pieces edges match perfectly and form a completed design in every direction. It's not as easy as it sounds! There is a huge number of possible combinations but only one real solution. Click here to watch a video demonstration.
Each puzzle comes with an educational panel of information on the subject matter of the puzzle as well as a trivia quiz.
You can start working out your brain by dropping in to McBurney Junction in Langley and picking up a b.dazzle Scramble Square puzzle for only $9.95.
