Great Gifts
Time is so fleeting. It seems that in the blink of an eye our children go from a newborn to a tween and we realize how often we let an opportunity to tell them we love or are proud of them pass by.
Carrie Thachuk, owner of The Passionate Home has created Pillow Talk; a collection of 30 different mini love notes for your child. With sayings like “Anything is possible, so believe in yourself” and “I love you THIS much”, Pillow Talk allows you to capture those fleeting moments and say what you want to say.
Let’s face it, we all need to be told we are loved and appreciated, especially our kids and what better way to do that than pop a quick love note on their pillow, in their lunch box or even at the bathroom sink for them to find.
Carrie is also working on a Pillow Talk line for your spouse. Can’t wait for that one!
Pillow Talk is available at The Passionate Home in Langley.

Your toothbrush cleans your teeth. What cleans your toothbrush?
This is exactly what the creators of Violight, the revolutionary toothbrush sanitizing system are asking. The outbreak of H1N1 had us asking this question even before we discovered the Zapi.
Most people simply rinse their toothbrush and assume they have removed the bacteria. This is not the case. The Centers for Disease Control states that “...toothbrushes can remain contaminated with potentially pathogenic organisms and brushes kept in a common holder may cross-contaminate…”
GROSS!
So, here’s how the Zapi works. After you brush, simply insert your toothbrush into the cute, egg shaped sanitizer. The battery operated germicidal ultraviolet light destroys 99.9% of the germs it comes into contact with. The Zapi is self-timed for a 6 minute cycle and holds standard toothbrush heads and most electric heads.
This is such a great Christmas Gift.
You can find the Zapi and other Violight products at London Drugs, Shopper’s Drug Mart, Sears, Zellers, Winners, The Bay & Home Outfitters.
