While we absolutely adore simple, classic shoes, sometimes we want to add a little bling to our outfit without spending money on another pair. Now, we remember shoe jewellery from the '80's and it was not pretty, so we were a little skeptical when we were told about this line. Our skepticism turned to delight when we saw some of the gorgeous clip ons.

Whenever the Stimuli team gets together, there is inevitably some chatter about handbags. Big surprise, right? The past few fashion seasons have shown us a plethora of clutches and we figure it's time we embrace this trend.
In our browsing through Etsy, the best online source for all things unique and handmade, we came across retailer Sewlola. She has several really cute clutches that we just had to show you.
First is this romantic clutch. We love the linen fabric with the antique doily applique. It feels like the perfect summer garden party bag.
Secondly, we fell head over heels with Sewlola's creamy woven clutch. Constructed from reclaimed upholstery textile in a cream colour, it is finished off with a brass frame with chunky clasps.
Both bags are lined with a pretty, vintage floral fabric and measure 6" x 8" x 2". They could easily double as a makeup bag inside your larger tote. Right now, both clutches are on sale for only $38.50 with shipping to Canada at $6.00.

We've all heard it said time and time again that you can make the same outfit look so different with just a couple of accessories. With that in mind, we are always on the lookout for new, fresh ideas.
Breathe Couture is definitely a breath of fresh air. Designer Jennifer Koning, who is also the owner of JK Models, has just launched her first collection titled Garden Party Collection. With it's victorian vibe, this collection is all about romance. While some pieces are very dramatic, others are subtle and soft. We love the mix of necklaces, headbands, earrings and hats.
Each handmade piece is one-of-a-kind and is constructed using at least 50% recycled and repurposed materials such as vintage jewellery, ribbons and laces, some dating as far back as the late 1800's.
Stimuli was invited to go behind-the-scenes at the recent Breathe Couture photo shoot at Little White House in Fort Langley. We had a blast recording what actually happens to create a photo spread. You can watch the video on Stimuli TV.

We just love it when we come across a new idea or tip that make us go "Ah ha!" It might be something that is a quick fix to a pesky problem or a new way to use an old item. We've come across a couple of these such tips that we just had to share with you.
Lucky Magazine published a great idea from designer Geren Ford. If your shoes have a little extra space in the toe area, making your shoes slip around, pick up some lambswool at your local dance supply store. Ballerina's use it in their pointe shoes. Voila! An instantly better fit.
Do you have an old watch that has a broken strap? Or maybe you just want to add a little summer fun to your timepiece. Glamour magazine suggests that you pick up some fun, colourful ribbon from your local craft store and thread it through your existing watch face and tie in a beautiful bow or knot to create a whole new, fun look. It's a quick update that will cost you very little. Best of all, you can change it up everyday. Love it!
It's summer and that means bare feet in shoes. Now, we know this isn't something we like to think about, but bare feet in shoes tends to lead to sweaty feet. Here's a little idea…spray your feet with aerosol antiperspirant. This will help cut down or eliminate odour and moisture.

If it's not all about the shoes, then it's definitely all about the handbag. Here at Stimuli we are always checking out new styles so when we come across a handbag that is unique and also good for the environment, well then, a new bag is completely justified. We're just doing our part, right?
Bywa Handbags is a local Fraser Valley company owned by designer Gwen Cornish. We love her tag line: LIVE CREATIVELY : CARRY CHANGE. That is exactly what Bywa bags is all about. Change. Made entirely from reclaimed and repurposed materials, Gwen is making a difference, one handbag at a time.
We couldn't believe some of the materials that can be repurposed. The piping around the bags are made from old christmas tree light wires and the bags are interfaced with laminate flooring underlay which creates a water resistant layer. The outer materials are usually from old clothing. It could be an old leather jacket, or a plaid skirt. So cool.
