We've all heard the term "Happy wife, happy life", but we've discovered that the same is true for our canine companions. If they're happy, we're happy. Sometimes our lives are so busy that we don't have enough time to dedicate to the exercising of our dogs.
That's where the "Coolest dog daycare in town" comes in. Located on the Bypass in Langley, Bark 'n' Lounge Dog Daycare offers comprehensive care for your dog including indoor and outdoor play areas. We've got to say, their space is HUGE! Animals are supervised by certified Dogsafe Canine First Aid trained staff and positive behaviour is re-enforced.
What really intrigued us is that each dog owner receive an email update about their dog's day at the daycare. It is written from the dog's point of view and a photo is included. So fun!
Bark 'n' Lounge owners, Felicia and Siang, are invested in the well-being of the dogs they care for. They made it clear that dogs should not be coming everyday, as pets need downtime and when a new animal is introduced to the daycare, they are screened and then integrated into the group carefully.
We've discovered that dog daycare is not only good for your canine, it's good for you!
Bark 'n' Lounge Dog Daycare is located at #101B - 20583 Langley Bypass, Langley. Give them a call to book a free consultation at 604-530-2275.

When you are a pet owner every season feels like shedding season. Here at Stimuli we pondered creating a clear plastic coat with elastic cuffs just above the paw as the ultimate pooch fur-control-device. After wrestling more hair off the hounds trying to get them into the jacket – we turned to the ever amazing FURminator DeShedding tool. That’s right; it is the Terminator of pet fur.
The FURminator website makes claims their Classic FURminator DeShedding tool is guaranteed to reduce shedding better than any brush, rake or comb, reducing shedding up to 90 percent. Tried and tested on our trusty (and furry) Labradors we agree, this tool is worth the $69.95 price tag (for the largest size).
We didn’t try out our fur-control-devise on our kitty pals, instead turning to FURminator’s patented deshedding tool for both long and short-haired cats. Reducing the shedding of your cat up to 90 percent, the FURminator also helps to eliminate hairballs.
The concept behind the FURminator products is relatively straight forward. Brushing your pet means less hair balls behind the bathroom door, on the kitchen floor or lurking behind the couch. The tool gets into your pet’s undercoat and removes loose hair without cutting or damaging the coat. In speaking to one of our groomer friends, they too love the FURminator but recommend a lighter hand where your pet’s coat is thinner, like their legs.
Not to be left out, FURminator promotes the use of their product for animals from ferrets to horses – any pet that sheds their coat; and no we didn’t try to wrestle our fur-control-device onto Harry-the-Horse.
We found the FURminator at Harvey's Pet Foods in Langley, however, it is available at many of our local Pet Food Stores.
