Did you know that black cats are usually the last to be adopted and the least likely to find permanent homes? Nobody really knows why – maybe it's superstition, maybe it's because they're hard to photograph, or maybe it's because people think they're just too ordinary. Whatever the reason, black cats are passed over again and again in favour of tabbies, tortoiseshells and marmalades.
Right now, Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS) has more than 25 black cats and kittens looking for families. If you're interested in adopting a cat, please stop by and meet some of our wonderful black cats or give us a call at 604.857.5055. All they need is someone to take a second look and see how beautiful a black coat can be.
