Fort Langley Mall Grand Re-opening this Saturday. http://t.co/YOXB8fRV

Last week I made a trip out to North Vancouver to experience Canyon Lights, a holiday celebration at Capilano Suspension Bridge. Now I can already hear the groans about how far away that is, but I need to tell you that it only took me 50 minutes to get there and the drive was so worth it.

While I have visited the park in the past, I have never experienced the brand new Cliffwalk Adventure or the Canyon Lights display. I arrived in the late afternoon to walk the Cliffwalk during the daylight and I'm not going to lie, walking the 20 foot wide planks cantilevered from the cliffside and suspended several hundred feet above the river bed, made my legs quake just a little bit.

While waiting for darkness to settle in I trekked across the suspension bridge to walk the Treetops Adventures. It's a great attraction for kids and adults alike. Think of a combination of the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse and mini-bridges suspended in the trees above the ground.

The park also features a large store where you can buy Canadiana items, beautifully clothing, local sweets and treats and jewellery. I wish I could have this Christmas tree in my house!

As darkness settled, the park was transformed by thousands of Christmas lights. The main bridge alone has 10,000 lights and the Cliffwalk Adventure boasts a light show that reflects different colours against the rock cliff wall. It's mesmerizing.

Make some family memories this Christmas season and visit the Canyon Lights display at Capilano Suspension Bridge.

I have done the park before, but have never done it in the winter with all the lights.  I thank you for letting me know about this and we will add it to our to do list as it looks fabulous.

We will have family visiting from the US this Christmas.  I would love to go and see Canyon Lights at the Capilano Suspension Bridge with them.  Sounds very west coast and festive!
