I am addicted to Pinterest. I could spend hours searching through all the inspiring images and when I came across this great idea, I knew I had to share it with our readers.

Isn't this just the cutest way to leave a note? So much prettier than leaving scraps of paper or sticky notes laying around the house. It's so simple to make: find a frame you love, adorn it with a couple of embellishments from the craft store, purchase an erasable felt pen and, voila - a framed notepad to add to your home decor.

Let's face it ladies, our hair is only as good as our hairstylist. I have searched for YEARS to find a stylist that is confident, well-trained and able to tame my hair in a sleek, professional style that I love.

That's why I just have to tell you about Black Orchid Hair Studio in Langley, BC. It is a trendy, loft-style hair salon with a Yaletown vibe. Better still, the talent is second to none. I get asked on a very regular basis where I get my hair cut. Now, that has nothing to do with me, it's all because the ladies know how to precisely cut my hair into the very difficult to do inverted bob. The style is so well done that I only have to spend a very minimal amount of time getting ready in the morning.

I first started going to Black Orchid to see Cristina Kirner and was thrilled with the results. When Cristina had to go on maternity leave I began seeing Shelley Sturmey and it was a seamless transition. Tell me, how often does that happen? That's why I highly recommend both Shelley and Cristina.

Along with hairstyling, Joy Tymos is the nail, makeup and eyebrow guru and they've recently welomed Denisa Quashie, an Esthetician, to the team for mani's, pedi's and waxing treatment. View a full ist of services at blackorchidhair.ca.

Black Orchid Hair Salon is located at #205 - 20238 Fraser Hwy., Langley. Give them a call at 604.533.0195 to book your appointment.

We can't stress enough how important it is to have properly fitting clothing and the length of your pants is key. They MUST be the correct length for your legs and for the shoes you're wearing. I came across this great how-to guide in Lucky Magazine. Print it off and take it to your tailor the next time you're getting a pair of pants hemmed.

Last night was the Stimuli Magazine and Urban Life Media Christmas party. Rather than the typical dinner party or night out at a restaurant, Kristine had the great idea to take a cooking class together. It was the best idea ever - we had a blast!

Angie and Liz from Well Seasoned hosted our group and taught us how to make three fabulous items: Rustic Tomato Bread Soup, Pesto on a toasted baguette with cream cheese and Upside Down Pear Gingerbread Cake. I gotta say, the pesto it to die for!

We ended the night with a little shopping in the Well Seasoned store and a few of us had such a good time that we want to come back for some other classes in the New Year. You can view their class schedule here.

I've uploaded a few photos to our Facebook page. Take a look at our team enjoying the evening in the Well Seasoned kitchen.

Merry Christmas team!!!
