Yesterday I took some time out and went to visit the opening day of the Langley Farmer's Market. The rain held off and it was a lovely time wandering through over 30 vendors offering fresh vegetables (picked just that day), handmade soaps and...

Today's Stimuli

We all want our laundry to dry quickly, smell clean and be static free. The typical solution is a liquid fabric softener or a dryer sheet. Liquid can be inconvenient - timing can be everything - and the dryer sheets leave a sticky residue on the drum, not to mention that they're full of chemicals. Even the rubber dryer balls may not be safe as some say that the rubber emits carcinogens as it heats up. So, what's a person to do?

We suggest giving natural wood dryer balls from Millstone Organics a try. The ball of solid wool gets thrown in with your wet clothes and the natural properties sucks the moisture from the wet clothing to reduce drying time. Wool is also naturally resistant to static and the friction of the wool against the fabrics reduces the static. Even though you use all five balls in the package at once, they can last up to two years depending on the amount of laundry you do.

We discovered the Millstone Organics Wool Dryer Balls at a brand new store in Cloverdale called The Abode for $34.99. You can also purchase them online for $29.99 plus shipping.
